For those who have read all about the Australian Open HERE
here is the latest on the Grand Slam 2008, the French Open, oui !

For starters, Maria Sharapova was defeated in the fourth round of the Women's Singles by Dinara Safina,
another Russian.
Must have been quite a blow for the world's number one Sharapova.Better luck next time, Maria.

So,who will be playing in the Women's Singles - Finals today?

It's Ana Ivanovic  versus Dinara Safina



Ana,who is ranked at number 2  in ecstasy. She defeated Jelena Jankovic another Serbian in the semifinals.

Now what about the Men's Singles - Finals?
On Sunday Rafael Nadal of Spain will meet Roger Federer of Switzerland and I'm sure the spectators are in for some magnificent play.

What a let down! Imagine losing the match in a straight set 6-1 6-3 and 6-0.
Roger Federer made too many unforced errors and was not quite himself the entire duration of the match.
Oh well!
Rafael Nadal was brilliant ! That I have to acknowledge.He won the title for four consecutive years! Wow!
What an achievement.Congratulations to the Spaniard who insisted that he still had a long way to go before he can overhaul the Swiss as the number one.
